Bees Knees is an original 1920s John Hacker Gentlemen's Racer, built a hundred years ago from a Hacker design published as “GLADYS” She was discovered in a barn near Lake Sebago, Maine in the early 1990's. An attached photo shows her as found. A painstaking restoration was undertaken, preserving the structural framework of the hull wherever possible. Her rebuilding spanned three years and was completed in 1995. The hull is planked in Honduras Mahogany.
