Data Credits & Licensing

YachtBazar's marina, dock and boat catalog is compiled from several sources, each under its own licence. Every record carries a source field (and marina records an import_src field) identifying which one.

OpenStreetMap

Records with source: "osm" are derived from OpenStreetMap. Data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. These records, and any database derived from them, are distributed under the ODbL 1.0. Each OpenStreetMap-derived record links to its OpenStreetMap object. City values were produced with OSM's Nominatim reverse-geocoder.

Overture Maps Foundation

Records marked import_src: "overture" are derived from the Overture Maps Foundation Places theme (accessed 2026-07-29), used under CDLA-Permissive-2.0, Apache License 2.0 (Foursquare-sourced records — © 2024 Foursquare Labs, Inc.), or CC0 1.0, depending on the record's original source. Modified by YachtBazar: fields selected, reformatted and normalised.

Marina operator facts

Phone numbers, slip counts, fuel availability, hours and amenities on marina records were gathered from each marina's own public website. These are factual details and carry no licence; the source page and verification date are recorded where we have them. Marina operators who want a correction or removal can reach us at yachtbazar.com/contact.

By-owner listings

Boat, dock and slip records from public by-owner sources (for example Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace) were publicly posted by their owners; each retains a link back to the original post. Records posted directly on YachtBazar by their owners are marked as such.

Full licence texts & machine-readable copy

The complete ODbL, CDLA-Permissive-2.0 and Apache-2.0 licence texts ship inside every data download at our public data release (see LICENSE and the licenses/ folder in each archive). Nothing in our Terms of Service is intended to restrict rights you hold in the third-party data above under the licences named here.
