Rugged 1976 Custom Cartwright Sloop, ATHENA, is a cutter rig designed by Jerry Cartwright. This purpose-built, fully insulated ferro-cement blue-water cutter has a 40-foot LOA, 11’3” beam, and 6’6” draft. The hull is constructed with type 5 Portland Cement and 2-inch foam insulation, featuring a full keel with 12,000lbs of poured lead ballast. It has a 2014 Beta 38hp 4-cylinder diesel engine with 937 hours and a 75-gallon keel tank.
