The design was based on the popular and highly successful Brewer designed Whitby 42 with upgrades and improvements including larger cutter rig, optimized keel/centerboard and hull development. The result is a surprisingly seaworthy, fast cruiser. The reduced draft from the keel centerboard configuration allows the Brewer 12.8 to cruise and gunk hole in all the hard to get to, but lovely, shallow destinations. The powerful cutter rig is easy to handle and the Brewer 12.8 can be sailed short-handed even in heavy weather. She has been well maintained throughout its life. Great Price for this Brewer 42!!
