This one-of-a kind Hinkley built Great Harbor 26 was designed by legendary designed Bill Cook who included a hydraulic retractable fin keel and blade rudder. The boat is a modern 7/8 sloop design day sailor and coastal cruiser that was built in 203 named Joy. She is one of a small fleet of Great Harbor 26 ftday sailors built in Southwest Harbor Maine by renowned boat builder Hank Hinckley. Joy is the only one of the Great Harbor fleet (the others are fiberglass) that was cold molded and custom built with three diagonal layers of 1/8 western red cedar, Honduran mahogany and white oak.
