Designed by renowned boatbuilder and racing skipper Ted Hood, the Bristol 38.8 is a classic design with a build quality that is not found in modern production yachts. It has a shallow draft of 4'6" with the board up and 10'6" with the board down, allowing for great windward performance. The Bristol 38.8 is also known for its comfort and ability to handle rough conditions while keeping the crew in control and comfortable on deck. Terra Nova is well-equipped, has been continually maintained and had numerous upgrades by her current owners, who have owned her for 27 years. They purchased her from the original owners, who had the yacht built by Bristol with custom opening portals throughout the main cabin.
