Time has come to sell our Defiance 290. This boat was purchased new from the factory in 2022 and has been meticulously maintained and upgraded to be an extremely capable offshore fishing platform. Powered by twin Yamaha 300s with approximately 2,800 hours. Engines have been serviced at every recommended service interval. The port lower unit was replaced approximately 8 months ago after slight water intrusion was found at a gasket during inspection — rather than resealing, we chose to install a brand-new lower unit. One of the best upgrades on the boat is the Seakeeper Ride system. It completely transformed the ride quality and makes this boat outperform other pilot houses in its class. The system improves planing time, fuel economy, handling, and dramatically reduces bow rise and hull slap in rough weather. The boat is equipped with the factory Defiance 110-gallon split bait tank, which holds sardines and anchovies exceptionally well. We also built a custom bait manifold system allowing each side to run independently on separate pumps. This gives full control over water flow depending on bait conditions, while also providing redundancy if one pump fails.
